Gluten free cafe review: Byways tea rooms Bakewell
This weekend’s gluten free cafe review was in the heart of the beautiful town of Bakewell, visiting the lovely Byways 17th Century tearooms.
It doesn’t look much from the outside but once inside, you’ll find a quaint little cafe with a wide selection of food…a lot of which is gluten free!
Gluten free choices are clearly listed on the menu and I went for a ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a cup of tea (the tea selection is fab!). The sandwich itself was delicious and had a good amount of freshly carved ham inside.
The prices are reasonable (around £4.50 for a toastie) and unlike some cafes and restaurants, they don’t add any additional costs for gluten free options.
I would recommend Byways tea rooms if you’re looking for a gluten free cafe in Bakewell. It can get very busy and the service a little slow during peak hours but the food is worth it.
Also, i’ve yet to try one but they also offer gluten free Bakewell tarts!
